Let us take a moment to examine where we are now in prospect to where we are going, and who we ought to become.
I could tell you stories of different individuals who fought against all odds to attain great heights in their life pursuits, which will be of great motivation. However, the most important story here is YOURS!
As a leader, you will always have bad days, stressful times, and moments where situations get out of control. Despite these ups and downs, the question is, what do you do to stay on track and stay resilient?
Staying resilient will help you to handle hard times with courage, and enable you to improve in your skills to gain credibility in your career.
Explore new options, opportunities, and do not be afraid to learn more and something new.
Adjust your mindset in a way that reflects your values as a leader and as an organization. Be able to detect good even in a bad situation because resilience has a lot to do with your mindset.
Learn to be flexible- change policies that are not working anymore and be bold to embrace new ways of doing things because the world is not what it used to be.
Embrace your mistakes and do not wallow in self-pity. Refrain from frustration and do not give up.
Most importantly, learn to be thankful for everything. Celebrate your little success. Nothing beats a grateful heart!
